Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten

The Solar & Renewable Energy Industry has seen extraordinary levels of growth in the past 6-8 years, mostly due to both Federal & State Governments handing out very generous rebates & incentives.

This has been a double edged sword in many ways for both the customer and the Industry. It has helped make Solar PV Systems much more affordable for consumers and especially those who would have not been able to afford one prior. But along with rebates and incentives comes those people that see Solar PV Systems as just another Government handout ready to be exploited as was the way with the Pink Batts fiasco.

At Innolec we strongly believe the future of the Solar & Renewable Energy Industry will be much brighter one and a better controlled Industry without the help of Government rebates or incentives.

As rebates & incentives have been drying up, many people wrongly believe the benefits of producing Electricity from a Solar System without rebates or incentives is not as viable an option as it was. This cannot be further from the truth. The higher the cost of Electricity, the more viable a Solar System will be for the customer with great returns on their investment in the long run.

With so many Companies in the Solar Industry going out of business for one reason or the other, it makes the customers’ task of choosing a Company to purchase a Solar System from harder and harder.

Some choose to take the easiest option available and pick the most visible company or cheapest quote. This may seem like a good option at the time, but in most cases it isn’t and as the old saying goes, “You get what you paid for.”

A Solar System is an investment in yours and your family’s future and needs a more detailed approach. Take your time and try to research the companies & the products they are offering. If you don’t have the time that may be needed to research, then take note of the sales persons approach & what they are or are not saying. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, no matter what it is or how silly it may seem. Trust your gut, if they can’t answer your questions or don’t know much about what they are trying to sell to you then move on to the next. If in doubt Google it, it is a fantastic resource and it’s free. You will be amazed what you will be able to find out and the additional help that it provides. But sometimes what you may find on web can be truly Horrific.. Don’t be afraid to ask family & friends how their experience was, why did they go the way they did. They can be an excellent reference base.

With the price of Solar Systems dropping dramatically in recent times. The challenge for companies is how to remain profitable. Panels & Inverters are the easiest way to save money, but when a customer demands certain quality for both components. Then companies look for other options to cut costs, roof mounting systems, cables, isolators & labor cost, etc, are those that a customer may not care too much, or know too much about what the end result is. The use of inferior quality Isolators have in recent times been directly linked to far too many house fires in Australia. In the first half of 2014,  6 such  Brands of substandard Isolators have been recalled by various Government bodies. Why would you put your family at risk? Just to save a few dollars, Is it really worth it?
